I hold a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Child Development. Opening my own childcare facility has been a lifelong dream, and I am honored to now provide a warm, nurturing environment where children can learn and thrive.
I believe in small ratios, individualized attention, and building strong, lasting relationships with both children and their families. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and engaging place where every child feels valued, confident, and cared for.
My philosophy
Children learn best when they feel safe, seen, and connected. At Heidi's House, that means keeping our group small enough that I know every child deeply — their interests, their challenges, and the tiny victories that make them light up.
Our days are shaped by the Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf approaches that inspire me: a prepared environment where children can choose meaningful work, plenty of time outdoors to move and wonder, and a gentle rhythm that helps the whole group feel calm. I am not a certified Montessori guide; I am a lifelong learner who has studied these philosophies and woven the pieces that fit our community into one warm, practical program.
Families can expect open communication, honest answers, and a partner who truly cares about their child's first school experience.
Our school
Heidi's House Childcare serves children 2 years and up in a single mixed-age community in Arroyo Grande, California. Full-time tuition is $1,400 / month, and our doors are open Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 5:30pm.
